U.S. Class Websites

Some Web Sites Just For Kids!

  • Cleveland Hts.-University Hts. Public Library has a website devoted to books. It includes lists of books, reading lists for University School and other area schools, homework ideas and help, websites and information relating to popular authors, and even software to download. Check out the section devoted just to kids.

  • The World of Reading is designed to be an educational, challenging, and safe web site for kids. Its goal is to encourage active participation in reading and writing. It includes reviews of many books, organized by category, and has links to sites that publish students' writing.

  • Useless Knowledge offers a wealth of information that could come in handy, or, at the very least, helps to justify time spent doing something totally useless!

  • How Stuff Works is a site that might entice a reluctant reader to read. For the person interested in the workings of things, from solar power to web pages, this site is filled with interesting tidbits of information, lots of which would appeal to a young child, especially one with an engineer's mind.
