Supplies for Kindergarten, 2007-2008
Please put your son’s name on all materials, clothing items and any athletic equipment he brings from home!

Boys will need:

  • Complete change of clothes (By having extra clothing on hand, a boy can always be comfortably dressed.  When he spills at lunch or finds mud at recess, he can make a quick change.)
  • 4 pack of dry-erase markers
  • Towel (for rest time - a beach towel works well)
  • Box of tissues or container of Clorox wipes
  • Boys in Mrs Perkins and Mrs Totte's class will need a disposable camera

    A plastic bag for these necessities will ensure organization and limit the inadvertent loss of items.

  • Book bag or backpack - PLEASE no bags with wheels!
Physical Education (Field) requirements - Kindergarten
  • Athletic Shoes
All boys will need to have a good pair of athletic shoes: Kindergarten boys should have a pair of velcro or lace up athletic shoes.  No slip on or zipper shoes.
  • Swimming
Swimming will start after the Thanksgiving break and will continue until Spring break.  During that time the boys will need to have goggles and a swim suit that will be left in their homerooms or lockers.
  • Warm Clothing

During the fall before Thanksgiving and early spring after Spring Break weather permitting we will try to go outside for our lessons. Please make sure that your son has a sweatshirt or light jacket in his locker to bring for Field Class. back to top

  • 3 large glue sticks (UHU, Avery, Prang)
  • Shoebox with attached lid (e.g. Nike or Merrell)
  • 2 packages, antibacterial wipes
  • 1 box of Ziploc bags: 1 quart size (last name A-F); 1 gallon size (last name G-Z)
  • An old shirt or large t-shirt for a paint smock
  • Book bag or backpack - PLEASE no bags with wheels!

Physical Education (Field) requirements - 1st Grade

  • Regular and fine line washable markers

  • 2 large glue sticks (Elmers)

  • Box of tissues
  • Small water bottle

  • 10 #2 pencils
  • 2 erasers
  • 1 ruler marked with centimeters and inches
  • 1 large glue stick
  • 1 box of thin markers
  • 1 spiral notebook, 80 page, wide ruled
  • Pencil box
  • Box of tissues
  • Change of clothing (socks, underwear, shirt, pants)
  • Boys in Mr Hurley's class will need a Jump / Flash Drive to be used during research and computer class.
  • Book bag or backpack - PLEASE no bags with wheels!

Boys will need:

  • 1 pencil pouch (no pencil boxes please)
  • #2 pencils
  • 1 eraser
  • 1 package thin line magic markers in assorted colors
  • 1 package colored pencils
  • 1 highlighter marker
  • 1 black ultrafine Sharpie marker
  • 2 dry erase markers and a dry erase eraser
  • 1 small pair scissors
  • 1 large glue stick
  • 9" x 12" sketch pad - white paper (not newsprint)
  • 4 notebooks: 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 green
  • 3 wide ruled Mead composition books (black speckled) for creative writing
  • 1 "thumb-drive" for computer class
  • Box of tissues (to be shared by the whole class)
  • 1 plastic water bottle
  • 1 personal reading book
  • Please bring in House of Sixty Fathers

Supplies for 5th Grade, 2007-2008
Please put your son’s name on all materials, clothing items and any athletic equipment he brings from home.

Every boy needs:

  • Book bag or backpack - PLEASE no bags with wheels!
  • at least 2 LockerMate Adjust-a-Shelf® shelves for lockers
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex (for homeroom)
  • pencil pouch containing plenty of pencils, eraser, red pen, highlighter, 12 pack colored pencils
English/Social Studies
  • One Trapper Keeper or Mead type notebook (or large binder) to include:
    4 two pocket folders, and
    lined loose-leaf notebook paper (wide rule, not college rule).
Math
  • One three ring binder with four tab dividers, and
    lined notebook paper
  • Calculator – Texas Instruments Math Explorer TI-30XA
  • Protractor.
Science
  • One white 1 inch three ring binder with 5 tab dividers, and
    lined notebook paper.

Spanish

  • One three ring binder with five dividers and
    lined notebook paper .

Computer

  • One two pocket folder
  • Jump/Flash Drive

Tech (trimester 3) – One used three ring binder (to be kept in the shop).

Music – Specific instructions to follow depending on instrument.

Art - No special requirements.

Physical Education (Field) requirements - 5th Grade

During the first week of school the athletic department will advise boys of special requirements for class. All 5th grade boys need:

  • PE Uniform: Shorts and T-shirts **
  • Lace up athletic shoes
  • Swim suit
  • Sweatshirt & sweat pants*
  • Extra pair of socks*
  • Extra pair of underwear
