The "Plain Dealer" is the major Cleveland daily newspaper serving a multi-county area

As part of the "Personal Tech" section of the "Plain Dealer," Chuck Melvin produced a two part series on local education related web sites. University School's website was featured in the December 28, 1998 issue of the "Plain Dealer."

"Schools have found many ways to use their own Web sites:  promoting their own excellence, offering a bulletin board of announcements, or adding educational resources," Mr. Melvin states in his introduction to the series on December 21.

"The dozens of school-related sites called to our attention by readers in recent weeks included pages for elementary schools, high shcools and colleges, from Michigan to Pennsylvania."

"We have chosen 10 that stand apart for the quality of their design as well as the timeliness of their content."

University School is honored to have been chosen as one of the featured sites.

The Music Technology Learning Center grants recognition to University School's Shaker Campus Music program and the University School website.
The National Association of Space Simulating Educators website, NASSE, which is hosted at www.us.edu and based at University School was honored as an  Education Index  top site.
The NASSE site was also named a Spaceviews site of the week
The University School site, www.us.edu, was selected as a Midlink Magazine "Cool School." According to this electronic, on-line education magazine, "Our editors searched the web to find school sites that use the web to teach and learn, and your site made an A+."

the "Reading Room" webpages by Dozie Herbruck have garnered national attention
