SCHOOL ADMISSION
University
School is an independent day school, educating boys in kindergarten
through grade 12. Established in 1890, the mission of University
School is to take boys of good to superior promise as far along
their personal, physical, and intellectual range as they can go.
One hundred percent of University School graduates attend college,
with over 50% attending their first college choice.
Our
school motto -- Responsibility, Loyalty, Consideration -- emphasizes
our commitment to a school where boys thrive and grow in a dynamic,
exciting learning environment. Our theme-based, research-based curriculum
is part of the most unique primary program in our area.
Most
important, we believe boys achieve best in an atmosphere in which
each boy feels he is known and loved.
A
member of the National Association of Independent Schools, University
School has two campuses: the Shaker Heights campus for boys in kindergarten
through grade 8, and the Hunting Valley campus for young men in
grades 9 through 12.
